Veda Viles

When "empty nest" syndrome hit, Veda knew what she wanted to do: get a show dog; train it in both breed and Obedience. Having had "only" pet dogs before, this proved to be quite a goal. However, breeding, owning, training and handling Standard Manchester Terriers provided a great opportunity to learn many facets of dog ownership.

Veda fell in love with Obedience, recognized the learning required for Rally, the natural talent brought out by tracking and the fundamental usefulness of AKC's Canine Good Citizen program. She became a CGC Evaluator, attended many seminars and classes taught by well-known instructors. She believes in balanced training with heaps of fun and praise. (Thank you, Dr. Terry Brazelton.) She now has her fourth generation Manchester, most of whom were titled at both ends.

Veda loves helping pet owners better understand their dogs and enhance their relationship through training. She believes training should be FUN!
