Instructor
Alda Weaver is an instructor at Family Dog Training Center, where she teaches Nosework and scentwork classes. She joined the FDTC faculty in 2014.
Before teaching, Alda spent many years as a preoperative nurse at several different facilities. She was introduced to Canine Nosework in 2012, a sport in which dogs learn to search for and find a specific scent, and she began teaching at FDTC two years later.
When she joined the faculty, Alda had two Belgian Groenendaels who were active in Nosework. A brown Belgian, a Belgian Tervuren, later joined the pack. Her dogs have earned multiple titles in different organizations.
All of Alda's dogs have been certified Therapy Dogs with TDI (Therapy Dogs International).
Miss Breeze (pictured) is her most recent addition. She competes in Nosework and makes weekly visits to Judson Park Retirement Community.
